WIP Wednesday

This week I am continuing to work on a little project that I started over the weekend.

I am attending a quilting class by Camillle Roskelley next month here in Australia and have decided that I need to make a tote bag to carry all of my sewing supplies to the class in, and this small Swoon block is going to form one of the pockets.
The quilt we are making at the class is the Red Letter Day quilt and I have already been having a play around with some fabric combos. I had a bit of a Bonnie and Camille fabric stash here already as I was planning on doing a Gypsy Wife quilt at some stage using fabrics from many of their ranges, so I am going to use some of them for the Red Letter Day quilt. I really love how their fabric ranges all coordinate with each other so well - the pretty red and aqua with pops of lime, grey, orange and navy is such a fresh colour combo.
So far I have chosen some Ruby, Marmalade, Scrumptious, Happy Go Lucky and I have just ordered a FQ each of Vintage Modern and April Showers as I didn't have any of these. My friend Cat (who is also going to the class) is swapping some Bliss FQ with me too so I now have the fabrics pretty much sorted!!

  5. Love that you choose different designers for your project, I try to do that and then filter out some as I quilt. In the end I mostly have all the same designer but I keep trying especially after seeing what you can do

  6. You can never go wrong with Bonnie & Camille fabrics :) So green with envy over here that you are actually going to get to meet Camille and take a class from her. I've taken her Craftsy classes but it's not the same as live in person contact.
