Minty baby blanket
A friend of mine is expecting her first baby but hasn't found out if she is having a boy or girl yet, so I decided to make her a baby blanket in a lovely mint green (which it seems is quite a tricky colour to photgraph!).
I used my favourite crochet stitch, corner-to-corner (C2C) to do the blanket and I really like how it turned out.
I used a tutorial by Em's Fiber Arts to do a little border around the blanket which is just the right size for using in a car seat or pram.
This project was on my Q3 FAL list for this year so linking up with the 2018 FAL team.

This is lovely! Minty green is such a sweet colour. I only recently began following your blog when I learned to crochet this summer and was looking for inspiration. At the moment I can only do one stitch, granny stitch, but I'm hoping to learn more. I made a small blanket and really enjoyed learning to crochet. I put the story of making my first crochet on my blog. I look forward to more of your posts :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely! When my daughter was in daycare they each needed a small blanket for naptime and she had a similar one which was a light weight and she found the bubbly texture very comforting.
