I chose some pretty Basic Grey Blush fabrics as I loved the colours and V will recognize the fabrics as she likes scrapbooking. I used the Abracadabra pattern from Bloom in the smaller size 44" x 57" (112cm x 145cm).
Also, as V lives in a household of 4 males, I think she needs a bit of pink in her life:)
I backed it in a coordinating light brown spot - all of these colours remind me of strawberry, vanilla and chocolate Neapolitan ice cream.

So pretty! I love the color scheme.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful, and yes, definitely reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream as well!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! It looks just the right amount of quilted, too - nice and puffy! Thanks for your comment on my blog. I see in your to do list the Amy Butler lotus Brick Path - - that is what I eyeballed to make the quilt you saw. :)
ReplyDeletevery pretty quilt - i've used the blush range and it's beautiful
ReplyDeleteGreat finish! Such a pretty quilt :) I agree about the colours, very like ice cream :)
ReplyDeleteSweet quilt - great way to celebrate a friendship!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out beautifully!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I've found it funny, as a former scrapbooker, seeing the likes of Sweetwater, Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket coming out with fabric along similar lines to their paper. This line looks great both as fabric and paper.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling quilt. :o)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful quilt, Kirsten! I'm sure your friend will love it!
