Scraptastic Tuesday - Swoon scraps

One of my favourite quilt patterns is the Swoon quilt by Thimbleblossoms and I have already made quite a few projects using the original design and the Swoon mini quilt version...
And recently I made a cute cross stitched hoop neckace using a Quilty Stitches pattern by Corey @ Coriander quilts.
There are a couple of quilt alongs currently on IG - one hosted by Camille herself (#swoonalong),
And another by @mel_is_a_swapaholic (#swoonalong2017).
I am joining in to make the Swoon 16 pattern using a mix of Melba and Matilda fabric by Emma Jean Jansen with some coordinating solids and a charcoal background.
So far I have sewn 8 blocks and have been collecting the little HST scraps from the flipped corners.
Although these HST will only be about 1.5" after trimming, and finish at 1" once sewn, they can be used to make patchwork panels for other projects such as the Makers Tote I made last year.
Linking up with Scraptastic Tuesday hosted by Leanne @ She Can Quilt and Nicky @ Mrs Sew and Sew.

  1. oh the new swoonalongs were tempting! Have fun making one of your favorites AGAIN! ;-)

  2. Every scrap is precious ! Totally approveof saving those bonus HSTS. Love the swoon stuff too of course. Good luck with the Swoon 16 project. Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!
