"Love Cats" quilt

Jenny Doan from the Missouri Star Quilt Company was in Australia recently and I was fortunate to attend one of the trunk shows with her and Sue Daley at the Gold Coast.
Jenny inspired me to start a new quilt using one of her fabulous MSQC tutorials - the Pins and Paws quilt.
And I couldn't resist using my stash of Tula Pink "Tabby Road" fabrics to sew the cat blocks in this quilt.
I paired them with two solid fabrics - a creamy off white and an aqua blue for the feature blocks.
These blocks were quite easy to sew and I added a border in the cute "Eeek" print in BlueBird from Tabby Road.
I sent the quilt to my local longarm quilter Karen from Rainbow Patchwork for quilting and then bound it in the same aqua blue from the feature cat blocks.
There is a big sunflower farm near where we live so we went for a drive this weekend for some quilt photos.
It was a really lovely sunny day and such a beautiful place for some fun quilt photos.
There was a large fence at the entrance to the driveway which was also quite handy for arranging the quilt.
The backing is in many shades of blues which also shows off the fabulous quilting pattern.
Special thanks to my hubby for holding up the quilt and risking being stung by the many bees buzzing amongst the sunflowers.
This was on my Q2 FAL list for this year so linking up with the 2018 FAL team.
Kirsten.
