WIP Wednesday

It is school holidays here, and so far the weather has just been rain, rain and even more rain!
My sewing plan for this week is to finish off my X and + Simply Solids Bee quilt as I have done most of the quilting already. I have just done echo quilting along the sashing and through the "+", then also quilted once through the "X" . Still a bit unsure whether I like the quilting or not though...
I have the binding made already from some Timeless Treasures "Sketch" in Royal blue fabric that I bought from my LQS  - it is the only one they stock and I just love it as it is almost a solid but a little more textured looking.

  1. I love Sketch too! It will be the perfect binding. I think your quilting is great, especially the X through the middle. Gives it something a bit different. Looking forward to seeing this finished! :)

  6. Exciting! Looking forward to seeing the whole thing. The blue's great with it. Often I'm not sure about the quilting until the whole thing is completely done. It's amazing how it doesn't look nearly finished until it is! Actually not as silly as it sounds!

  9. Good luck with it! It's the same here, cold and wet, except it's meant to be summer...
