Pets on Quilts!

Lily Pad quilting is hosting a "Pets on Quilts" photo competition and i realised that I have lots of pics of my cat on my quilts as he loves to "help" me when I am sewing:)
This is my favourite photo of SImba which I took when I made the mini Swoon quilt in the For The Love of Solids  swap which I sent to Leona - I have this one as my screen saver.
It is winter still here in Australia and we have had some very cold nights lately so Simba often comes in at night to sleep on the bed - thisis him snuggled up in my Ruby Sparkles quilt.
And he doesn't just sleep on the bed - he likes to sleep right on top of me, and if I roll over he gets tipped off.
He has a bandage on his leg at the moment as he was in a bit of a fight with the black cat who lives down the street  - we should have taken out Pet Insurance when we got him 4 years ago!!
Pets on Quilts
Linking up with the Pets on Quilts linky party at Lily Pad quilting - so hop on over to see lots of cute pets on some lovely quilts.

  1. Hi Kirsten! Simba is so beautiful and I love his colour! Cats are so cute when sleeping curled like that - they know to find a comfortable place. Your quilts are always so beautiful and carefully done! x Teje

  12. Simba looks like he enjoys the quilts a lot. Your quilts are wonderful. My best friend and her husband went to visit family in Australia and they had a few days in your part of the country two summers ago. They loved their journey to the land down under.

  13. :) He looks like your Ruby Sparkles was made just for him! Our cat sleeps with us - often ON my legs. I think it's really cool to have a fursome friend want to snuggle with you. Except when you're trying to roll over at 2:30 and it's so darned hard because of the warm dead weight across your legs! lol
