Sea Glass Ripple blanket

For my nieces birthday gift, I have crocheted her a Ripple blanket to match the Rainbow one I have already done for her older sister.
And as it is her 12th birthday this week, I have finished it just in time!
This time I used a palette inspired by this photo we took at Kirra, on the Gold Coast in QLD, Australia.
I started with a mix of of blues and greens, then added a splash of purple and grey.
And because of the beachy theme,  I have named this one the "Sea Glass" ripple rug.
Once again, I have used the Neat Ripple tutorial by Lucy @ Attic 24 - she also has the instructions on how to do  the edging here.
These are my favourite colours and I would really like to do another one - maybe over winter next year!
Hoping my niece likes snuggling with this as much as my kitty Simba did whilst I was doing the crochet!

  2. Just my colours too! Adding the purple was perfect! It adds more depth to the ripples...

  3. Hi Kirsten. I would like to use some of my own photos for colourway inspiration. Please can you tell me how you managed to colour match your own photo? Thanks! ~ heather
