Down Under Doll Quilt Swap

A couple of swap items are now ticked off my "to do" list!
This is the mini made for the DUDQS using the Scrappy Sprouts tutorial by Tracey at Tracey Jay quilts.
I chose to make it even scrappier by using different coloured fabrics on each side and it ends up just over 17 x 20".
Also done is the Christmas Table runner for the same swap which finished at 16 x 48". I echo quilted this and bound it in a red and white stripe that reminded me of peppermint candy canes.
Just need to add in a few little extras before I mail these off early next week.

  5. Love them both, but must say the mini just makes me smile. Something about those sunshine colours.

  7. Very nice. I sure bound a Christmas advent quilt in red and white. I actually cut it on the bias to make it like Candy canes. I had to google how to do a bias binding because it's been about 6 years since I did one!
