Work -in-progress Wednesday #1

I am participating in the Let's Stitch event at Quilt Fabric Delights and the Wind Farm Quilt by Cheryl Goss of Willowberry Designs is one of the many lovely projects that caught my eye.
I have started making the quilt from some Sweetwater "Authentic" FQ which I bought a while ago with a "masculine" quilt in mind:

I love that the HST's which are cut off from the sides of the "wind mills" are used in the border, and that there are a few left over to make a matching pillow cover with.

Linking to WIP Wednesday at Freshly pieced and also to Fabric Tuesday at Quiltstory so pop over to see what everyone else is up to!

  3. That is a nice block and a good way to do the quilt that, make the border pieces as you go along. Makes life easier I think. I like the colors you choose for it.
