It is the first day of summer here, and one of the things us Aussies love in summer is cricket! So in temperatures today of over 35 deg C (95 F) my eldest son was able to score 49 runs for the local U14 cricket team! And of course I missed it all as I worked today - although I must admit being in the air conditioning today was quite pleasant as it looks like it is going to be a long hot summer. I need to make sure he drinks plenty of water tonight as the boys have 2 softball games tomorrow and it is expected to reach about 34-38 deg C again.
Anyway, in November I managed to almost finish off a long term project - my Denyse Schmidt "Daisy Mae" Swoon quilt, which has now been sent off to be quilted. Other projects this month included a couple of table runners, a pillow for the X-factor swap and a teeny granny pincushion.
Another great month for you.
ReplyDeletesounds like a good month... and staying inside sounds GOOD too x
ReplyDeletePhew - too hot! We are just about hitting 20 degrees here in Wellington, and that is pretty nice. Lovely projects - I bet it feels good to have your swoon quilt done and off at the quilter's.
ReplyDeleteAnother great month of achievements! looking forward to seeing what Christmas Table Runner you receive!
ReplyDeleteBut what s with the lack of Southerly Busters in the afternoons. Enough of the days without respite from the heat. I am curious who you sent your quilt off to. You have been very busy in Nov.
ReplyDeleteThe swoon looks great. Can't wait seeing it quilted. Also love the cushion! The HST are really great
ReplyDeleteYup, the air con sounds good in those temps!
ReplyDeleteLove your projects from last month!
ReplyDeleteLovely makes this month! Your Daisy Mae Swoon is one of my favorites. :)
ReplyDeleteMany lovely projects, hope to see your finished quilt soon!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, air conditioner seems a perfect option in such a weather!
Hugs,
Tatyana
