Forever young...........

Our local community has been in shock for the last few days. Last weekend a friend of our sons was involved in an accident and sadly he passed away on Friday as a result of his injuries.  He was only 14, the same age as my boys, and they had been in many classes with him at school, as well as playing on numerous sporting teams with each other, so they have some wonderful memories of their time together. There have been some extremely heartfelt messages left on some of the social media sites by his family and friends, including this amazing song, written and sung by the beautiful and talented Serinna.

It will take time for everyone to grieve for him, and it is going to be difficult for all of the students at school when they go back this week but the school is very supportive and will help them through this. I am trying to keep myself busy doing mundane things to keep from crying again at the loss of this incredible young man - he will be missed very much by everyone who knew him:( We know his family quite well and I can't even imagine what they are going through right now but our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.
Kirsten.

  6. Kirsten, I'd read this story on the Sydney Morning Herald website just before seeing your post about this tragedy. I hope that your community is able to help each other through this awful loss. My heart aches for this boy's parents.
